Ice Queen
The Ice Queen smiles, satisfied
(But not happy. Never happy,
For to feel warmth in her heart
Is tantamount to suicide)
Her heart is of crystals, beautiful,
yet lacking, somehow, ethereal
(She knows why it is lacking,
but it is not acknowledged)
The world is now hers,
Her domain to rule over,
To enslave in her icy grip
(To destroy and conquer,
to raze all that is warm,
erase every trace of what
she cannot, will not, understand
(And perhaps, she wants to,
yet denies herself of it
(And perhaps, just perhaps,
She destroys not because of spite,
but because she is scared)))
Loneliness is all she has ever known,
Coldness, harsh
